This bill clarifies that a substitute teacher holding a restricted substitute teacher permit, which requires at least an associate's degree, can teach for more than the currently allowed 10 consecutive days in a long-term position if no other short-term or long-term substitute is available to fill the role; however, this extended service will end if an available substitute teacher bids on and accepts the position.
