This bill prohibits any state agency in Tennessee from issuing or renewing a certification, registration, license, or permit to a corporate entity, which includes corporations, limited liability companies, and partnerships, if an officer, director, or employee of that entity provides material support or resources, such as money, training, or facilities, or offers meeting spaces or other platforms, including online ones, to groups or organizations that are designated as foreign terrorist organizations by the U.S. Department of State, have been found by a U.S. court to have engaged in terrorism, or receive support from such designated entities, for the purpose of soliciting support or recruiting members. The bill requires state agencies to deny, revoke, or refuse to renew these credentials upon receiving satisfactory proof of such activity, with the exception that medicine or religious materials are not considered material support.
