This bill requires the state commissioner of elections, who is responsible for overseeing elections in Iowa, to create a specific record after each election. This record will include all the information about every person who voted in that election, as it existed in the statewide voter registration database at the time of the election. This information must be organized by county and completed within 60 days of the election's end. The commissioner must then keep this record for eight years. Importantly, anyone can request an electronic copy of this record for free, though if the file is too large for electronic transmission, the person requesting it will need to provide their own storage device.
