This bill establishes the Prince George's County Teen Pregnancy Support Program, which will provide assistance to students in public high schools in the county who are expecting or have become parents, offering them cash vouchers for childcare, parenting education, and other resources for new parents. To fund this program, the Circuit Court in Prince George's County will be required to collect a $100 fee in specific child support cases, such as when someone applies for a child support order or modification, or files to collect or enforce overdue child support payments. The money collected from this fee will be sent to the Prince George's County Board of Education and specifically used to support the aforementioned Teen Pregnancy Support Program.
