This bill upgrades an assault committed on any uniformed crossing guard, parking attendant, or uniformed employee of a municipal parking authority, while clearly identifiable as being engaged in the performance of the person's duties or because of the person's status as a crossing guard, parking attendant or employee of a municipal parking authority, from a simple assault to an aggravated assault.
