This bill amends Tennessee law regarding adult-oriented entertainment by requiring establishments to post specific warning signs. These signs must be at least 8.5 by 11 inches, with text in 48-point bold, black, block letters on a white background. One sign, placed at each entrance, must state: "Attention: By engaging in this type of entertainment, you may be contributing to an increase in domestic assault, rape or sexual assault, and human trafficking." If the establishment sells or loans sexually oriented materials, an additional sign must be posted at each display of such materials, reading: "For your information: Production of these materials may contribute to an increase in domestic assault, rape or sexual assault, and human trafficking." The bill also changes the timeframe for a county adult-oriented establishment board to notify an applicant about their license status from 10 days to 10 business days after an investigation is completed.
