This bill amends Tennessee law regarding adult-oriented entertainment by requiring businesses that offer such entertainment or sexually oriented materials to post prominent warning signs. These signs, which must be at least 8.5 by 11 inches with text in 48-point bold black letters on a white background, must state that engaging with this type of entertainment or material "may contribute to an increase in domestic assault, rape or sexual assault, and human trafficking." This requirement applies to each entrance of the establishment and to each display of sexually oriented materials. The bill also makes a minor procedural change, extending the timeframe from 10 days to 10 business days for a county adult-oriented establishment board to notify an applicant about the status of their license application after an investigation.
