AI Summary

This bill clarifies the requirements for obtaining a temporary teaching permit in Tennessee, specifically for individuals enrolled in an educator preparation provider (EPP) who have not yet completed their required clinical practice, which is a hands-on teaching experience component of their training. It allows individuals who have started but not finished their clinical practice to receive a temporary permit if they meet all other criteria. Furthermore, it permits these individuals to fulfill their EPP's clinical practice requirements by combining the time they spent on clinical practice before receiving the temporary permit with the time they taught while holding that permit, as long as the total time meets the EPP's standard.
