AI Summary

This bill clarifies the requirements for obtaining a temporary teaching permit in Tennessee, specifically for individuals enrolled in an educator preparation provider (EPP), which is an institution that trains and certifies teachers. The bill allows individuals who have started but not finished their required clinical practice, a hands-on teaching experience component of their training, to receive a temporary permit if they meet all other criteria. Importantly, it also permits these individuals to fulfill their remaining clinical practice requirements by combining the time they spent on clinical practice before receiving the temporary permit with the time they actually taught under that permit, as long as the total time meets the EPP's requirements.
