This collaboration includes the DDA potentially developing training for Department of Children's Services staff, providing consultation on oversight tools for residential services, and the Department of Children's Services referring children suspected of having these disabilities to the DDA for service recommendations. The two departments may enter into a formal interagency agreement to formalize this partnership, and the Department of Children's Services must submit an annual report detailing their compliance with these provisions, including statistics on referrals, evaluations, oversight tool development, training, and care coordination.
