This bill amends Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 7, Chapter 89, concerning convention center authorities, by expanding their scope to include agricultural exposition facilities and related infrastructure, and renaming them to "Convention Center and Agricultural Exposition Authorities Act." It clarifies that "convention center facilities" now encompass agriculture exposition facilities and related structures, and that an "authority" can be a convention center or agriculture exposition authority. The bill also defines "project" to include agricultural exposition facilities and associated supporting systems dedicated for public use. Furthermore, it allows a nonprofit organization operating an agricultural fair on an authority-owned facility to appoint an additional voting director to the authority's board. The bill also makes conforming changes throughout the existing law to reflect the inclusion of agricultural exposition authorities and facilities.
