This bill requires all public and nonpublic primary and secondary schools to establish written policies and procedures to protect student privacy, ensuring parents or guardians can access and review student records, and that personal identifying information is not disclosed without consent unless legally permitted, while also requiring nonpublic prekindergarten programs and nonpublic primary and secondary schools to begin reporting annually to the State Department of Education on incidents of alleged discrimination based on various protected characteristics, starting September 1, 2027, and further mandates that the Department will then submit a compiled report on these findings and trends to the Governor and General Assembly by December 31, 2027.
