This bill requires the annual report on the Abortion Care Clinical Training Program to include recommendations on how the state can ensure enough healthcare professionals are available to provide abortion care. Additionally, the Maryland Insurance Commissioner will collect financial data from insurers, nonprofit health service plans, and health maintenance organizations regarding segregated accounts established under the federal Affordable Care Act and related regulations. The Commissioner will then submit an annual report on this aggregated data to the Senate Finance Committee and the House Health Committee by January 1st each year, using data from the calendar year two years prior to the report's due date.
