This bill authorizes the city of Salem to convert specific seasonal alcohol licenses, which are typically valid for a limited time, into annual licenses, which are valid for a full year, for establishments that serve alcohol to be consumed on the premises. Specifically, it allows for the conversion of one seasonal license for Amazing Pizza LLC at 62 Wharf Street from selling all alcoholic beverages to selling only wine and malt beverages and cordials, and another seasonal license for Maitland Farm LLC at 84 Derby Street to continue selling all alcoholic beverages. These converted licenses will be subject to most of the existing alcohol licensing laws, except for certain sections (17 and 17A) that deal with license limitations. If a license is returned or revoked, the city can grant it to a new applicant at the same location within three years.
