This concurrent resolution urges the Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism (DBEDT) to submit an annual Hawaii Genuine Progress Indicator (HI GPI) report to the Legislature. The report, which must be submitted no later than thirty days before each regular legislative session begins, starting in 2027, should include transparent findings on Hawaii's economic welfare, environmental status, and social conditions, detailing trends and insights. It must also contain an executive summary, specific indicator results for economic, social, and environmental categories, an overview of the calculation methodology, an analysis of policy implications, and a data appendix. Furthermore, DBEDT is encouraged to make the report accessible online and send copies to relevant legislative committees.
