This bill requires all state and private agencies that employ mandatory reporters, individuals legally obligated to report suspected abuse or neglect of vulnerable people, to retrain their staff on reporting procedures. This retraining will specifically cover reporting incidents to a 9-1-1 operator and the county district attorney's office, in addition to existing reporting channels. Furthermore, all written materials, such as training manuals, brochures, and posters, that guide reporting procedures must be updated to reflect these new requirements, and any outdated materials directing reporting solely to the justice center must be removed and replaced with updated information emphasizing 9-1-1 and district attorney reporting.
