This bill repeals the office of the judicial discipline ombudsman, which was established in 2023 to serve as an independent and confidential advisor regarding judicial discipline procedures and workplace culture within the state's judicial system. By repealing section 13-3-120 of Colorado Revised Statutes, the bill eliminates the statutory basis for this office. Additionally, the bill amends section 13-100-102 to remove the "office of the judicial discipline ombudsman" from the list of "included agencies" that receive administrative and fiscal support services from another office, and it also removes a provision from section 24-72-202 that exempted records related to complaints received by the judicial discipline ombudsman from being considered public records.
