This bill modifies existing cannabis laws by removing the requirement for cannabis businesses to enter into labor peace agreements, which are contracts between employers and labor unions that establish terms for labor relations, as a condition for obtaining or maintaining licenses and registrations. It also repeals certain provisions related to these agreements and introduces a new Cannabis Industry Wage Board, comprised of representatives from the cannabis industry, labor unions, and the public, to study and make recommendations on minimum wages and other compensation for various roles within the cannabis sector, with a mandate to report its findings by the end of 2027.
