This bill modifies existing cannabis laws by removing the requirement for cannabis businesses to enter into and maintain labor peace agreements, which are contracts between employers and labor unions, as a condition for obtaining or renewing licenses and registrations. It also introduces a new Cannabis Industry Wage Board, comprised of representatives from the cannabis industry, labor unions (AFL-CIO), and the public, to study and recommend minimum wage rates for various roles within the cannabis sector, with a mandate to hold public hearings and submit a report with recommendations by December 31, 2027. Additionally, the bill requires applicants to disclose their full ownership structure, management service agreements, and salary and hourly wage information for different job titles, which will be made publicly available.
