This bill, known as the "washing our clothes without polluting our water act," amends environmental conservation law to establish requirements for microfiber filtration systems in washing machines to reduce water pollution. Retailers cannot sell washing machines unless the producer has an approved plan, and commercial laundry services must have microfiber filtration systems installed on all their machines by January 1, 2032. Violators face civil penalties of up to $500 per violation, with additional penalties for each day the violation continues.
