Furthermore, the report will analyze AI-powered applications, the PRC's regulatory framework for AI, its efforts to influence global AI standards, and how PRC entities access computational resources, including through the diversion of U.S.-controlled chips. The Secretaries are instructed to prioritize critical supply chain components and technologies with national security implications, compare PRC capabilities to those of the United States and its partners, and coordinate with expert entities to avoid duplication of efforts, with the report being submitted in unclassified form with an optional classified annex.
