This bill amends Florida law regarding the distribution of fees collected from the sale of the "Florida Salutes Veterans" license plate, a specialty plate designed to honor veterans. Specifically, it increases the percentage of the annual use fee that goes to a direct support organization, which is a non-profit entity established to support veterans' causes, from ten percent to twenty percent. The remaining fees will continue to be deposited into the State Homes for Veterans Trust Fund, administered by the Department of Veterans' Affairs, to fund the construction, operation, and maintenance of homes for veterans, as well as the promotion and marketing of the license plate itself.
