This bill requires the Commissioner of Education in Florida to create an annual report detailing student access to and participation in fine arts courses, which include visual arts, music, dance, and theatre. The report will also cover information about the educators teaching these subjects, including their certification status, the facilities available for fine arts instruction, and how schools are delivering the core curriculum for these arts as outlined in the Next Generation Sunshine State Standards. This report will be made publicly available on the Department of Education's website and updated each year, with the changes taking effect on July 1, 2014.
