This bill makes several changes to Florida's transportation laws, including requiring utility and television lines to be removed from county roads at no cost to the county if they unreasonably interfere with road widening or repairs, and expanding the types of vehicles that can display amber lights to include commercial vehicles transporting unprocessed logs or pulpwood. It also authorizes the Department of Transportation to use funds to establish a statewide system of interconnected multiuse trails, provides an exception for rural municipally or county-owned utilities in areas of critical economic concern to receive state funding for utility work necessitated by State Highway System projects, and allows the director of a public transportation system or their designee to dispose of unclaimed personal property found on the system after 90 days. Additionally, the bill clarifies rules regarding signs, allows the Tampa Hillsborough Expressway Authority to operate outside Hillsborough County with consent, and modifies provisions related to the Small County Outreach Program and tourist-oriented directional signs.
