This bill aims to ensure that MassHealth, the state's Medicaid program, fully allows individuals to choose physician assistant (PA) services. Specifically, it amends existing law to clarify that a physician assistant practicing within their licensed scope, even if requiring collaboration or supervision by a physician as per state regulations, will be recognized as a qualified primary care provider for insured individuals under Chapter 118E of the General Laws.
