This bill authorizes the town of Dedham to issue one additional license for establishments that sell alcoholic beverages intended for consumption on-site, overriding a general law that might otherwise prevent this. This new license is specifically for an entity located within the Mother Brooks Arts and Community Center at 123 High Street and cannot be moved to another location or transferred to a different owner. The licensing authority can also require that the recipient of this license also holds a common victualler license, which is a license to operate a food service establishment. There's an initial application fee of $5,000 above the standard fee, with these additional funds going into a town economic development account. If the license is revoked or no longer used, it can be reissued to new applicants who meet the bill's requirements.
