This bill amends existing law concerning the towing and storage of motor vehicles by adding a provision that allows the operator of a state-owned park and ride facility to remove and store any vehicle left unattended there for more than twenty-one days. A "park and ride facility" is a parking lot, often located near public transportation, where commuters can leave their cars and travel the rest of their journey by bus or train. This change provides a mechanism for managing vehicles that are abandoned or left for extended periods in these public parking areas.
