This bill amends Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 140, Section 123, to clarify that companies located outside of Massachusetts are not required to obtain a Massachusetts license to sell ammunition within the Commonwealth, provided they sell to individuals who are properly licensed to possess or sell ammunition under specific sections of the law (122, 122B, 129B, or 131). This exemption applies to sales conducted through the internet, U.S. Mail, or other methods of interstate commerce, but all deliveries, whether in person or by common carrier, must require the signature of the licensed recipient and photographic identification.
