A decision must be made within 90 days of the last hearing, and if the department approves an upward adjustment, it must periodically hold further public hearings to ensure the continued appropriateness of the seasonal rates. Additionally, the department must notify the chief executive officer of any affected city or town about the proposed seasonal rate increase and publish notice in a local newspaper, and upon request, will hold a public hearing within that city or town, provided the municipality offers suitable accommodation.
