This bill directs the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (DHSMV) to create a "Support Our Constitution" specialty license plate, which will have an annual use fee of $25. The proceeds from these fees will initially go to The Constitution Foundation, Inc. to cover the costs of developing and issuing the plates. After those startup costs are met, the foundation can use up to 15% for administrative expenses and up to 10% for promotion and marketing of the license plate. The remaining funds will be used by The Constitution Foundation, Inc. to promote understanding of the U.S. Constitution in Florida's public schools, train school leaders to give presentations, and provide students with learning materials and pocket Constitutions at no cost.
