This bill authorizes the town of Raynham to grant one additional license for the sale of all alcoholic beverages to be consumed on the premises, specifically to "2 Jerks BBQ, Limited Partnership d/b/a 2 Jerks BBQ Kitchen & Bar" at a particular street address. This is an exception to a general rule (section 17 of chapter 138 of the General Laws) that limits the number of such licenses. The license will be subject to all regulations in chapter 138, except for the general limitation. Importantly, this new license cannot be transferred to a different location, but it can be granted to a new applicant at the same location if they demonstrate good standing with the state's departments of revenue and unemployment assistance, meaning all taxes and fees are paid. If the license is canceled, revoked, or no longer used, it will be returned to the town's licensing authority, which can then issue it to a new applicant at the same location under the same conditions. The bill becomes effective immediately upon its passage.
