This bill directs the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (DHSMV) to create specialty license plates for several historically Black Greek letter organizations, specifically Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, and Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority. For each of these plates, there will be an additional annual use fee of $25. The collected fees will be distributed with 10% going towards marketing the specific license plate, 85% to the respective fraternity or sorority's foundation to promote community awareness and educational, economic, and cultural activities, and 5% to the United Negro College Fund for scholarships for Florida residents attending historically Black colleges and universities.
