This bill provides to a person with reasonable belief of possible harm to an animal left alone in a parked vehicle and who acts in good faith to rescue the animal immunity from criminal or civil liability for any damage to any vehicle or other property, or any injury to the animal, occurring as a result of the rescue or rescue attempt.

AI Summary

This bill provides immunity from civil and criminal liability for a person who, with a reasonable belief of possible harm to an animal left alone in a parked vehicle under inhumane conditions, in good faith rescues the animal or attempts to rescue the animal. The bill requires the person to immediately report the circumstances to rescue personnel and make a reasonable effort to locate the owner or other responsible party.
