This Joint Resolution officially designates the second Friday of December each year as "PSRPs in Our Schools Day" in New Jersey, a recognition of the vital contributions made by Paraprofessionals and School-Related Personnel (PSRPs). PSRPs encompass a wide range of essential school staff, including instructional aides who provide one-on-one or small-group tutoring, classroom assistants, translators, and those who supervise students during non-instructional times. The resolution also acknowledges non-instructional PSRPs such as bus drivers, cafeteria staff, custodians, maintenance workers, and groundskeepers, all of whom contribute to a safe and supportive learning environment and the overall well-being of students.
