This bill regulates the granting of temporary licenses for the sale of wine, beer, and malt liquor at auctions for nonprofit charitable corporations. Specifically, it allows local licensing authorities, with the approval of the Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission, to grant temporary licenses for the sale of these alcoholic beverages at auctions, not to be consumed on the premises, to nonprofit charitable organizations. These temporary licenses can be granted for up to 10 consecutive days, with a limit of 2 such licenses per year for each organization. The fees for these temporary licenses cannot exceed the minimum fee for regular licenses to sell wine, beer, and malt liquor. The bill also allows these temporary license holders to accept free alcoholic beverage donations for the purpose of selling them at auction or raffle to benefit the nonprofit organization.
