This bill creates the Florida Young Farmer and Rancher Advisory Council within the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. The council will have 12 members appointed by the commissioner and will provide annual findings and recommendations to address challenges facing aspiring farmers and ranchers, such as access to land, credit, capital, and business skills training. The bill also requires the department to establish a clearinghouse on its website with resources, including grants, loans, scholarships, and general information, available to young and beginning farmers and ranchers, including veterans.
