Bill Summary

An act relating to games of chance organized by nonprofit organizations

AI Summary

This bill amends Vermont law to expand the types of games of chance that nonprofit organizations and fraternal organizations can organize and execute to raise funds. It allows these organizations to conduct lotteries, raffles, and other games of chance as long as all the proceeds are awarded as prizes to the participating members. The bill also requires the Attorney General to create an educational pamphlet and update the state's gambling website to inform nonprofit organizations about the permitted activities and regulatory requirements under this law.
