This bill expands current law to provide free hunting, fishing, and trapping licenses, as well as free admission to State parks and forests, for individuals with certain types of military service. Specifically, the bill grants these benefits to active members of the New Jersey National Guard who have completed initial training, members of the organized reserve of the U.S. Armed Forces located in New Jersey, active duty members of the U.S. Armed Forces who are residents of or based in New Jersey, disabled veterans, and retired members of the New Jersey National Guard. The bill also clarifies that these benefits apply to both residents and non-residents of New Jersey who meet the established criteria for active or former military status.
