This bill prohibits the disclosure of the personal identifying information of an alleged victim of sexual harassment or sexual misconduct, or any information that could assist in determining the identity of such alleged victim, in any portion of a proceeding or meeting conducted by the Commission on Ethics, a commission on ethics and public trust, or a local government investigatory process that is open to the public. The bill also makes complaints, referrals, and records related to allegations of sexual harassment or sexual misconduct confidential and exempt from public records disclosure until certain conditions are met, such as the agency determining it will not investigate the allegation or making a finding as to probable cause. These provisions are subject to the Open Government Sunset Review Act and will stand repealed on October 2, 2023, unless reviewed and saved from repeal by the Legislature.
