Bill Summary
Patient Right to Know Drug Prices Act
AI Summary
This bill, the Patient Right to Know Drug Prices Act, prohibits health insurance plans and group health plans from restricting pharmacies from informing enrollees about the difference between their out-of-pocket cost for a prescription drug under the plan and the amount an individual would pay without using the plan. It also modernizes the reporting requirements for biological and biosimilar (generic versions of biologic drugs) products, by defining key terms and establishing new requirements for filing agreements between biosimilar product applicants.
