This bill adds the Vietnam Veterans of America to the list of organizations the State and national conventions of which State, county and municipal employees will be given leave of absence to attend. Current law provides a leave of absence with pay for no more than five days to a public employee who is a duly authorized representative of an enumerated organization. The bill also removes two defunct organizations from law.
