This bill authorizes the town of Dedham to convert a license for the sale of wine and malt beverages not to be drunk on the premises to a license for the sale of all alcoholic beverages not to be drunk on the premises. The bill specifies that the license cannot be transferred to a different location, but it can be granted to a new applicant at the same location if the applicant is in good standing with the Department of Revenue and the Department of Unemployment Assistance. If the license is cancelled, revoked, or no longer in use, it must be returned to the licensing authority, which can then grant it to a new applicant at the same location under the same conditions. The bill also requires that all licenses granted under this act must be issued within 12 months of the act's passage.
