The resolution highlights the increasing number of service members surviving severe injuries and the significant prevalence of "invisible wounds" like combat-related stress, depression, and traumatic brain injuries, emphasizing the need for specialized programs to support their recovery and successful transition back to civilian life. It also respectfully requests the Governor to issue a proclamation encouraging public observation of this week with appropriate activities and programs to honor and empower these wounded warriors.
