Early in July 2025 we will deploy the brand new version of our regulation tracking tool.

It will make regulation tracking closer to how the bill tracking works - providing query options for type of reg, status, agency; more columns like comment deadline and effective date available to add to your regulation sheets; and AI features like similar regs.

Because this is a radical reworking of how regulation tracking functions, we've had to make decisions about how to deal with the current and historical regulation sheet data.  As a result:

  • All regulation sheets will be retained and the queries will stay the same;
  • 2025 regulations will be retained and we will attempt to keep your comments and hidden information intact;
  • 2024 regulations will remain if they match your keywords but we are unable to keep your comments;
  • All regulations older than 2024 will be entirely lost and will no longer be available for searching.

It is crucial, therefore, that if you want to keep the information in historical regulation sheets that you export them before the Fourth of July break.

To Save Your Current Regulation Sheets

You can export your regulation sheets by clicking on one of the export buttons at the bottom of the sheet.

You can export the sheet as an Excel file, a .csv file for use with other spreadsheet software or as a PDF or HTML report.

Adding a Link Column

It's a good idea to export your regulation sheet with links to the regulations on the state pages.  You may already have the State Link column on your regulations sheets as part of your template.  If not, you can add it very simply.

Click your name on the top right of the screen, and choose Regulation Sheet Templates:

Click Edit next to the template that you which to change:

Check the Visible box next to the State Link row, and click Save:

Now you can return to the regulation sheet and you will see a column at the end with links to the regulations on the state websites.
