This bill revises provisions relating to: - Preapprenticeship and apprenticeship programs, including expanding the Department of Education's duties to publish annual reports on these programs and provide assistance in notifying students and the public about their availability. - Secondary and postsecondary workforce education, including requirements for career and technical education (CTE) courses to integrate workforce and digital literacy skills, and the creation of a CTE graduation pathway option for high school students. - High school graduation requirements, including allowing students to substitute certain computer science and industry certification credits for math and science credits. - Postsecondary education, such as renaming the Higher Education Coordinating Council as the Florida Talent Development Council and revising its membership and duties to focus on developing a statewide approach to meeting Florida's workforce needs. The bill also creates the SAIL to 60 Initiative to increase the percentage of working-age adults in Florida with high-value postsecondary credentials, and the Last Mile College Completion Program to provide tuition assistance to students close to completing their first degree. Additionally, the bill creates the Florida Pathways to Career Opportunities Grant Program to fund the establishment and expansion of apprenticeship and preapprenticeship programs.
