This Concurrent Resolution requests the Legislative Reference Bureau and the Office of Enterprise Technology Services, which are state agencies, to conduct a study examining how mobile applications and similar technologies are being used and how effectively they deliver government assistance. The study will look at how government benefits are currently delivered, what mobile tools are already in use in the state for this purpose, the pros and cons of using these technologies for assistance delivery, and how other states are utilizing similar methods. It will also review federal reports on equity in government services. The findings and any recommendations, including potential new laws, are to be submitted to the Legislature by a specific date before the 2023 legislative session begins.
