This bill, the "No Congressionally Obligated Recurring Revenue Used as Pensions To Incarcerated Officials Now Act," amends Section 8332(o) of Title 5 of the United States Code to temporarily halt pension payments for Members of Congress who have been sentenced for certain offenses. The bill specifies that an individual convicted of an offense described in paragraph (2) of the existing law shall not be eligible to receive any payment of an annuity based on their service as a Member of Congress, from the date of sentencing until the date of final conviction. However, if the conviction is overturned, the individual will receive the payments they would have received if the temporary halt had not been applied. This provision only applies to convictions that occur after the date of enactment of the bill.
