This bill appropriates $600,000 in fiscal year 2024 and $600,000 in fiscal year 2025 from the general fund to the commissioner of higher education for immediate transfer to College Possible, a non-profit organization that supports college admission and graduation for low-income students through intensive coaching and support programs at both the high school and postsecondary levels. The appropriation must be used only for programs supporting students who are residents of Minnesota and attending colleges or universities within Minnesota. College Possible must report annually to the legislative committees with jurisdiction over higher education and K-12 education on the activities funded by this appropriation, including information about the expansion of College Possible in Minnesota, the number of students served, and community service hours.
