This bill authorizes the creation and issuance of special veteran license plates in New Jersey, establishing a comprehensive program for veterans to obtain distinctive license plates. The bill defines a veteran as a person classified under state law who has been honorably discharged, as evidenced by official military discharge documents. The New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission will issue these plates, which must bear the word "veteran" and have a design selected in consultation with the Department of Veterans Affairs.
