This bill expands the application of the construction materials special permit in Minnesota. It amends the definition of "construction materials" to include not only traditional materials like aggregates and concrete, but also "bulk materials delivered directly to a plant or production facility." The bill also increases the weight limits for six-axle and seven-axle vehicles hauling construction materials, from 90,000 pounds to 99,000 pounds during certain periods. The permit fees for these larger vehicles are set at $300 and $500, respectively.
